Gupt Navratre also known as Ashadha Navratre is the period of nine days dedicated to Goddess Shakti and her nine forms. It is also known as Gayatri Navratre due to one of the main deity Goddess Gayatri.
This Navratre falls in the month of June or July in Shukla Paksha. This time, the period will long from 4th July to 14th July, 2016. These nine days are very important and fortunate for Tantriks and devotees. Devotes observe fasts and chant mantras to get blessings from the Goddess. One can get rid of the black magic and materialistic problems by worshiping.
There are four types of Navratre in a year from which two are celebrated in a grand way while rest of them are celebrated secretly.

On this special occasion, devotees organize Pooja and prayers in secrecy at a hidden place. It is considered that devotees who pray with pure and determined heart will get through hardships easily. They get blessings from the Goddess Durga. Worship Goddess Durga and observe fast. Strict fast observers allow to consume milk and fruits only while partial observers can eat sabudana, arbi, coconut, dry fruits, milk products, fruits, Kutu wheat and potato.
